The programme is comprehensive, catering for all ages and a wide range of abilities from the absolute beginner to performance level. What is Modern Tennis? The system was pioneered by world famous coach OSCAR WEGNER After playing internationally in the 1960s, Oscar undertook a coaching career and developed a remarkable methodology that has had tremendous impact globally. Modern Tennis was used to develop former world No.1 and multiple French Open Champion Gustavo Kuerten. It was also used by Richard Williams to develpe his daughters Venus and Serena who became multiple grand slam winners and both have been World No. 1s. From a Wimbledon commentator, during the 2008 ladies final between Venus and Serena: "to think Richard Williams started these girls off from reading a book and watching some videos is amazing! I bet the person who sold them the book and videos is now worth a small fortune!". (Richard taped Oscar's lessons from a TV Show in the early 1990s. The girls were already 9 and 11, and Richard corrected earlier techniques with Oscar's ideas, steering them in time to be top players in the world). The Modern Tennis Methodology- is all about timing and feel,utilising spin on all shots from day one it uncomplicates the learning process by concentrating on just hand eye co-ordination, it will set your natural game free.
